Offered by the UF Counseling Center This group will focus on the journey of being LGBT in college, as well as focusing on integrating an LGBT identity with other areas of life, such as work and family. Group is interactive and will explore issues related to sexual orientation and gender identity, specially coming out, transitioning, connecting with family and friends, and creating relationships. | Mondays from 8-9pm, often with dinner following The Pride Student Union strives to provide and maintain an open, safe,
and inclusive atmosphere for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer,
Questioning and Allied (LGBTQA) individuals. In light of this, the mission
of the Pride Student Union is to support and educate members of the
University of Florida , allies and surrounding communities with regards
to LGBTQ issues and concerns. In order to accomplish this mission, the
Pride Student Union will facilitate social networking, discussions,
and the building of leaders, as well as provide programming, speakers,

| Gator Gay-Straight Alliance |
| Thursdays at 8pm The Gator Gay-Straight Alliance sprang into being in Fall 2000. The Alliance's purpose is to end homophobia (and indeed all forms of discrimination). The Alliance is 'outward-directed'; that is, our efforts are not for our members but for the community in which we all live. Our events fall into several main categories: Fundraising; Visibility, Publicity and Awareness; and Community Outreach and Involvement. | Thursdays at 4pm Outlaw is an organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender (LGBT) law students and their supporters at the University of Florida Levin College of Law. We offer our members a supportive environment by fostering a sense of community, socializing in a friendly and fun environment, and sharing information and resources on LGBT issues and concerns. | LGBT Concerns Committee |
Every third Friday from 1-3pm Appointed by the Provost, this committee has the charge to, "serve as a vehicle for a systematic and periodic assessment of the quality of life of gay/lesbian/bisexual individuals at the University and make recommendations regarding the need for educational programming, establishment of specific services and programs, and other similar matters...examine and recommend revisions in university policies and procedures having potentially negative consequences for gay/lesbian/bisexual individuals...serve as a forum to which various individuals and groups can express concerns related to issues of homophobia."
