Black Male Development Initiative
What is B.M.D.I?
Black Male Development Initiative (BMDI) is designed to facilitate academic and social success of black males at the University of Florida. BMDI will assist black males develop a sense of community while imparting critical information and knowledge that participants can use to develop technical skills that can be utilized at UF, as well as other venues in life.
What Does BMDI hope to accomplish?
The objectives of BMDI are:
- To provide a safe place for Black men to collaborate and learn from one another.
- To establish a continual dialogue in which attitudes and feelings surrounding Black men's concerns are initiated.
- To provide programming and services that will assist and support Black men in their development
